David employs a practical and entrepreneurial style in providing high-level corporate and securities law advice to fast-growing companies. His clients are both private and public companies who operate both domestically and internationally and span a broad range of industries including mining, oil and gas, technology, gaming, entertainment, medical devices, biotechnology and financial services. He also represents investment banks, investment funds, boards of directors, independent committees and investors on a regular basis. David is experienced in all aspects of corporate and securities law, with a particular emphasis on mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, corporate finance and public markets transactions. David is frequently engaged to advise clients on a broad range of corporate and securities matters including:

• prospectus offerings and IPO’s
• stock exchange Listings
• reverse take-over and qualifying transactions
• Capital Pool Company formation and listing
• mergers and acquisitions – both public and private

David received his B.A. from Concordia University in 1996 where he graduated with Distinction and was the Malone Medal winner for his graduating class. He then attended Osgoode Hall Law School and graduated in 1999 after having completed the Business Law Intensive Program. After articling at a large national law firm, David joined the International Structured Finance Group at the London, UK office of Clifford Chance LLP and was admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales in 2002. David returned to Canada in 2004 and practiced at a Bay Street law firm until co-founding Acuity.
